Three Everyday Hues From Lipstick Queen

To round off lipstick week, it seemed right to focus on my favourite lipstick brand – Lipstick Queen. I have so many favourites from the brand that it could quickly get to dissertation-length, so I’m focussing in on three perfect everyday shades that are perfect for complementing any makeup looks.

Pinky Nude

For a classic nude lipstick, The sinner lipstick (90% pigment!) in Pinky Nude is one of the prettiest I’ve tried. The shade is the perfect nude nude for when you want something truly pale but ultimately not a concealer on the lips. I can’t rave about the formula enough and as a matte lipstick lover, I’ve tried quite a few… I also have this formula in a coral and a hot rose, but I’m mentioning this shade in particular because it’s such a dream for an off-duty makeup look.

Hello, Sunshine

I’ve featured this shade a few times before, but Mornin’ Sunshine is one of the happiest lipsticks around! It looks so beautiful with its sky blue packaging and the buttery yellow lipstick. On the lips, it transforms into a summery coral (it reminds me of Benefit Coralista but for the lips!). I am a fan of the Lipstick Queen gimmicks, but I chose this yellow one instead of the Frog Prince as I find the coral more flattering and I imagine it would suit more skin tones. I like this for everyday because it’s a no-brainer to apply on the go and it moisturises the lips as well!

Rosy Red

Lastly, a cult classic – Medieval. This shade was inspired by actual Medieval beauty recipes (love me some history) and is the shade to reach for when you want an incredibly natural, but noticeable, finish on the lips. It looks very dark in the tube, but applies as a sheer wash of red that mimics the flush of when you pinch your cheeks. It’s supremely moisturising so it doesn’t last too long on the lips but it’s one you can reapply sans mirror.
