Dreamy Cream Makeup Picks

I’m making the most of the last few summer days and embracing some cream makeup picks to leave skin looking as dewy as possible. I’m a basic blogger in that I can’t wait for Autumn, but I do enjoy the minimal makeup/glowing finish that my favourite cream makeup picks can leave on the skin. I have three favourites, leaving the eyes and the complexion shining.

First up is one of the best shadows around: all I have left of this crayon shadow is what’s shown, because I love it so much. It’s the Marc Jacobs twinkle pop shadow in Volver (mentioned here) and it’s perfect. I use it a lot on its own when I’m lazy but also as a really nice base for a champagne or bronze shadow look. The formula is lovely & just glides across the lids but, crucially, it doesn’t crease or smudge around once its on. It’s a lovely piece of easy makeup that requires no effort but has maximum glow.

Moving onto the complexion, I adore the Glossier Cloud Paint in Beam; a liquid/cream peachy blush that you can blend in with fingertips in a few seconds. I know the Glossier hype is real, but for good reason… they just get it. The off-duty, naturally beautiful aesthetic is perfectly encapsulated by the entire brand! This blush has got a lot of use because it’s so compact and travel-friendly. I would pitch this as foolproof cream blush, because it does blend in so seamlessly into the skin and leaves the cheeks looking perky.

Finishing off everything is the Iconic Illuminator; I had yet to be convinced by a liquid highlighter 100% until I tried this one. It’s glorious. Essentially it’s a liquid molten that adds a high-shine finish to the skin. It’s really pigmented so it goes a long way but it also blends beautifully into the skin. As a highlighter addict, trying something new and exciting has become rare but this product has got me really excited to apply some blinding glow as the last step in my makeup routine.

Do you have any cream makeup picks?
