Hyped Heroes: Bronze & Glow

You know those products that are ridiculously hyped? The ones that seem too good to be true? Some of them are just really, genuinely amazing. They are hyped and they are heroes. Today’s beauty crush is something I obsessively talk about and use everyday in my real life makeup routine. It’s the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow, and it’s beautiful.

The shade of the bronzer is perfect. Not too warm, so your face looks tangoed. Not too shimmery, so you look like you’re off to a glitter ball. It manages to easily add some shade and definition to the hollows of cheeks so it’s a speedy contour. As well as that, it warms up the skin nicely; I tend to apply all over. When I had a Charlotte Tilbury makeover (which you can read all about here) the MUA applied the bronzer on my nose, which I’d never done before. A subtle change, but it makes such a difference in terms of giving a golden complexion. Also I love using this on a MAC 224 just swept all over the lid for a super easy smokey eye. I leave it as that in rushed mornings when I’m late, or I layer it under my beloved Stila glitter shadows. Perfect.

The highlighter shade? Equally delicious. The formula is very soft and buttery, which allows the product to really melt into the skin. It has the mix of not being too bold and strong but it’s definitely got enough pigment in it to really add some dewiness to the skin. I like to use a fan brush and dust it onto the tops of cheekbones and then take the excess under the brows and on the cupid’s bow. Lovely and sheeny. It does work on the lids as well as a super soft shimmer, but I prefer the bronzer in terms of the formula for on the eyes.

Aside from the product itself, the packaging is obviously gorgeous and classic Tilbury. I tend to use the compact as a mirror most days, too, incase you wanted some further enabling…
