Easy Berry Lipsticks

Is there anything more perfectly autumnal than a really good berry lipstick? No? Didn’t think so. I’ve got so many favourites, but I had to share my top easy berry lipsticks for wearing on a daily basis right now…

I’m still crushing on these lipsticks from Bobbi Brown, and especially the shade Grenadine. It’s so perfect. The formula means it’s really forgiving on dry lips, and it’s balmy enough to reapply regularly without looking in the mirror. It doesn’t last the longest, but this is much more about being a soft, sheeny and moveable lip colour than something chalky. I’ve been getting so much wear out of this shade so far this autumn!

For something with a bit more of a bang, and a traditional lipstick formula, the Charlotte Tilbs lipstick in Hel’s Bells is really underrated. I know her lipstick lineup is pretty comprehensive, but this rich rich little shade deserves all of the love. Inspired by the magical Helena Bonham-Carter, this hue is pretty much the perfect berry hue. It makes eyes look brighter, teeth look whiter and it’s suitably vamper for the season.

Of course my beauty brand of the moment had to be included here – Glossier’s Jam looks scarily intimidating in the tube, but it goes on and looks really sheer. It’s definitely one of those lipsticks that can be worn more strongly or a little softer, depending on the mood and how many swipes. The formula on this one is perfect for low-maintenance makeup lovers; it’s so easy to wear, and the shade os this reminds me of the Ribena berry shade. It’s like you’ve got softly bitten berry lips, so it’s a great one Pack a lip balm for later though, because it can be a little drying.

Another matte finish is Stila Baca. I pretty much rave about Stila on a daily basis at this point, as I just can’t get enough of the brand. This liquid lipstick formula is still one of the best around; long-lasting, creamy, highly pigmented and easy to layer. The tip for wearing this formula is to make sure lips are moisturised about five minutes before application, and then to use thin layers. This shade is a lovely bright pinkish berry, that is perfect for this time of year.
