Stila’s Spring Edit

Hi my name’s Laura and I love Stila. I’m ok with it. This is not new information, because I talk about the glitter eyeshadows about three times a day (both online and in real life). The brand just gets a massive thumbs up from me, so when I had the chance to discover the new spring collection I was all over it. There’s a whole new line of sheeny shadows, new glitter shades, new lipsticks sheer liquid lipsticks and some other good bits, too. I’m running through the entire collection and letting you know what you need…

Liquid Lipsticks

The OG liquid lipstick has gone sheer! The new formula has the same texture and staying power of the original lipstick shades but now it has a translucent finish. It’s still matte, but the finish is far easier to wear if you’re afraid of bold colour. It’s designed to give lips a wash of colour that gently stains and leaves a natural finish.

There’s six new shades, and I have Sheer Ballerina and Sheer Beso. Ballerina is a baby pink that I know is going to be a spring go-to and I imagine a lot of people will love it! Beso is a new, fun way to wear a red lip. It’s still bright but it’s definitely less maintenance to wear than your standard bright red. Very fun & spring friendly.

If you’re not into sheer colour, there’s also six new shades that have some shimmer in them. Glitter on the lips is 100% not my gig, but if metallic lips are your thing then the formula is really comfortable and long-lasting.

Lastly, we also have new shades in the original formula and then two new glitter top coats. The new standard shades are mostly pinks and roses (going to need!), so it’s a fun new lineup of shades for the warmer weather.

Some New Shadows

I love the glitter & glow shadows so much. That’s not a secret. I’ve talked about them here and I wear them almost everyday. There are two new shades, Gypsy (lilac & magenta) and Wanderlust (gold & pink). I’ve got Wanderlust, which has this beautiful duo-chrome finish on the lids. I honestly can’t recommend these enough!

Also new for the lids are the Shimmer & Glow liquid shadows which are much more sheen than shimmer. I mentioned them in a preview post last year here, but now they’re out and they’re glorious. If wearing glitter every dang day isn’t for you then these are the product you need to check out. They look identical to the shimmer shades, but they have a rose gold lid. The finish on these is so pigmented – you can just swipe the wand on and then it sets pretty quickly. I’ve got the shade Grace, described as a rose taupe.

I’m much more about the glitter than anything else, but there are also some new kajal eye liners. There’s a black, nude, brown and a blu & they’re pigmented and creamy, and well worth checking out if you like liners!
