The sign of a good product is surely not only falling in love with it, but the true testament of dedication is finishing up a product. Being a beauty blogger and product addict, I tend to try a lot of products but these are the Products I Actually Finish… If you like looking at empties (me too), then you can see more here!
Makeup I finished
Finishing makeup is so satisfying! I went through a Glossier brow boy, which I basically use everyday. Perfect for super-speedy brows that don’t look overdone. I’ve somehow ended up with two spares, so I’m straight into using the new one. The sad little lipstick is Lady Danger, which is one of my long-standing favourites from mac. The perfect warm-toned red shade for all skin tones. I’m working on a big pile of finished mac products to exchange for new lipsticks – what’s your must-have? I need some new shades to add to my list. Also not technically finished but pretty battered is the bronze & glow – I’m really scared to drop it incase it shatters. Definitely warrants a repurchase because the bronzer shade is the nicest around.
Skincare I finished
OK, so I recently had a big skincare clear-out and I finished a few things so my skincare drawer is looking beautifully organised. The Glossier priming moisturiser rich is pretty gorgeous stuff, and one I’m going to grab again asap. Hydrating, smells like lavender and a great base for makeup. Equally good under makeup is the Embryolisse lait-creme concentrate, which is the dreamiest of primers. The Kiehl’s avocado eye treatment is one of my forever repurchases; the best little hydrator for soothing the under eyes. One I definitely won’t be repurchasing is the Tatcha luminous dewy skin mist – it’s so expensive for such little difference to the skin.
Finishing off the empties is the best-packaged shower gel around, the Malin + Goetz sage body wash. I mean, it just looks so Brooklyn, so suitably minimalistic and chic in my bathroom. It smells like a dream – I want everything in my bathroom to be Malin + Goetz.
