Sundays are made for skincare, and taking the time to indulge in a little pamper. I love a themed edit, so I’ve been trying out a rose skincare routine, with some old favourites and some new discoveries that are leaving my skin smelling like a dream.
A good scrub
I am a big fan of a good chemical exfoliator, but sometimes a manual scrub is a good addition to my skincare routine – this hydrating one from Super Facialist is a lovely pick because it’s quite a creamy texture. I tend to use this is the shower once a week, and it makes a noticeable difference to skin’s texture. I’m trying out a few bits from the Super Facialist rose line, and it’s a dream for dry and sensitive skin.
Smelling like roses
I absolutely love the scent of fresh roses, and this moisturiser from Odylique is one of the best ones in terms of how fresh it smells. I’m testing this one out, so it’s still early days but had to mention it because the scent is such a dream. Odylique as a brand is well worth checking out, as they offer some gorgeous skincare pieces that are natural & affordable. This cream is a treat for dry and irritated skin – it has rosehip, sea buckthorn, jojoba oil and aloe juice so it’s a skincare smoothie!
The old favourite
I just can’t express how much I love the By Terry baume de rose – it’s definitely a cult classic, and I am 100% on board with the hype. It’s expensive, yes, and is ultimately a fancy lip balm but I find it does such a good job at leaving lips soft and nourished. I tend to use it as an overnight lip treatment and I treat it as skincare because of how decadent it feels.
