With it being a month until Christmas, the countdown is officially on. I’ve finished my shopping (yup, I’m that person), and now I am here for all of the Christmas films and cosy nights in. I’d been toying with the idea of not doing a big beauty guide this year, but I couldn’t resist… I just adore Christmas photoshoots and the call of the fake snow was too strong. Consider your beauty gift inspiration sorted.
It’s beginning to smell a lot like Christmas…
Is it really even Christmas without a new perfume or two? I’ve already featured this beauty from Penhaligon’s here, but I have some more affordable options here. There’s the Paco Rabanne Olympea Intense, which comes with the prettiest (and blogger-friendly) packaging around. It’s a crowd-pleaser of a perfume, with it being a scent I imagine the majority would enjoy. Think salted vanilla. Another people-pleaser is the Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Intense, an indulgent twist on a classic. It’s so feminine and soft, it’s the perfect date night fragrance. If you don’t know which perfume to pick, the Scent Addict subscription is the perfect gift… it’s a monthly subscription where you can try out a new perfume each month for £12. They have all of the mainstream perfume brands, where you can sample each one as part of the club.
The holiday season is made for glitter, right? The perfect excuse to pick up a few of the Stila Magnificent Metals, which are probably my favourite shadow ever. I wear them a lot, and think everyone needs at least one. Another dreamy shadow gift would be any of the Urban Decay Naked Palettes, with one of the prettiest being the Naked 3. The rose gold shades look gorgeous on absolutely everyone and you can have the palette personalised with Swarovski crystals at FeelUnique (treasuring this L palette forever). This palette from Bobbi Brown is a beauty, too. So cute! So tiny! It has four of the best-selling shadows and a pretty blush cleverly tucked underneath.
I definitely had to sneak some Glossier in here… The Cloud Paint quad has all of the soft and smudgy blushers, with there also being 20% off at the time of writing. These blushers are gorgeous to use, and Glossier is the brand of the moment. Glossier is pretty high on most of my friend’s wishlists this year, and they come ready prepared in pretty pink pouches. To go with the blush, we obviously need to talk about highlighter too. Laura Geller’s Baked Gelato in Diamond Dust comes pre-packed in an ornament you can hang on the tree, and it contains the prettiest opalescent highlight. It shifts between pink to blue to violet to gold and it makes cheekbones look pearly and polished. Finishing everything off with a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick; surely something every girl wants to see under the tree!
My inspiration for this post was definitely thinking about things I love and things I would want to unwrap on Christmas day… that’s the best method for buying gifts, right?! The only beauty cracker to catch my attention is this beauty from Omorovicza; it looks absolutely stunning, and contains a mini moor cream cleanser (my favourite) and a refining face polisher. The Soap & Glory wash upon a star set is just so sweet and cute, and perfect for a Christmas day pamper. It has nine single-use shower gels, and it’s one to pack for any Christmas breaks. For something slightly more indulgent, the Aromatherapy Associates bath oils are some of the fanciest products around; they leave the bath smelling dreamy and give you silky soft skin. Finally, we have a classic beauty blender because everyone always needs a new beauty blender… It’s really a game changer for your makeup bag and once you try one, you’re hooked for life!
