It’s time. Time to sweep away old favourites and make space for some new favourites on the bathroom shelf. I’ve added three new skincare pieces into my routine! Along with some of my favourite nourishing cleansers and hydrating moisturisers, here are the new skincare additions for November…
When it comes to masks, I love the idea but don’t enjoy the actual event as much. It’s definitely an extra step in my skincare routine that sometimes I just can’t be bothered to do… Taking the effort away is the Erborian spray-to-mask, which might just be the easiest add-on ever. It feels just like misting on a toner after cleansing, but it leaves a fine film on the skin with helps to wake up the skin. You just mist on until there’s a film on the skin and leave for ten minutes before rinsing off – so easy! It’s definitely not one of those hardcore masks that leaves skin feeling drastically different; rather it enhances skin and leaves the complexion looking perkier. Given that it’s designed to help skin look more awake, I think it’s a great mask to have come winter and *whispers* in your arsenal come party season.
Following on with the orange theme we have going on here is the Lumene Glow Boost Essence, which has quickly become a go-to addition to my morning skincare routine. It made a noticeable appearance to my skin pretty quickly, and I’m enjoying using it up. It’s called an essence, but I’m using it as I would with any other serum – massaged in right before moisturiser. It instantly hydrates the skin and helps to give a lovely glow. It’s filled with Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid, which are two ingredients my skin always seems to love.
Lastly, as someone who permanently looks tired after waking up early, I am always on the lookout for new and exciting eye creams. Faking a good night’s sleep with the help of cosmetics is pretty much the way to go. The new DHC Beauty Lift Eye Care Essence Roll-on is one of those beautifully refreshing eye products that comes with the metal applicator. Something so good and soothing just feels fantastically refreshing in the morning, and helps to wake you up. Ingredients include oat kernel extracts to soothe the skin and ceramide to help hydrate and the firm. I can’t comment on the long-term effects of the treatment, but having used this for a weeks I can comment on how soft & soothed it leaves the under-eye skin feeling. Lovely for those who have sore and irritated eyes (anyone else wear their contacts 24/7?), as well it being a great product to help really massage the area.
