A rose by any other name would smell as sweet… Yup, I’m back with a beauty edit with some of my favourite Rose Beauty Picks! You can see more rose here if you’d like… I always think that a rose-scented product is romantic, and it’s definitely a slightly glamorous scent that makes me feel sophisticated (but the right ones aren’t too sophisticated!). There are so many rose products that smell incredible, and my addiction shows no signs of slowing down.
Starting off with two of my absolute favourite lip balms, because you can never have enough balms… The cult classic, the By Terry baume de rose, is one of the dreamiest rose buys around. It’s ridiculously expensive, but it acts as more of an overnight treatment than something you slick on under lipstick. For a cheaper alternative, the Glossier rose balm dotcom smells almost as delicious, and the tube is far easier to carry around.
Another balm is the dreamy Pixi rose flash balm, which has quickly become one of my skincare favourites. The scent makes me so happy in the morning, it hydrates and smoothes the skin and helps make a nice base for foundation.
I’ve shared the incredible L’occitane x rifle paper co collection on Instagram, and can we take a second to appreciate the incredible packaging! The rose hand cream is exactly the right size for a handbag, and it helps to keep your paws silky smooth.
If you’re really a rose enthusiast, then the Jo Malone Red Roses cologne is a delicious fragrance to try. It’s velvety soft but with some lemon in it which adds this sharpness to it. Definitely worth trying!
So, not all rose scents are created equal… some are extra special, like everything from Jurlique! I was lucky enough to have a signature facial from the brand early in January, and it was one of the nicest things to ever happen to my face. SO dreamy. This new rose body oil leaves skin soft, sheeny & hydrated all day. All of the Jurlique roses are grown in their farm in Australia (I want to go!), and they do smell incredibly rich and heady.
Lastly we have the Jalue hydrating essence which is new to my skincare stash. Anything with rose in it always catches my eye, and anything promising to hydrate the skin even more so. It’s rich in hyaluronic acid as well as neroli, rose petals and willow bark which all work together to make this a serious skin-softener. I think essences are just souped up toners, so I’m adding this into the mix post-cleanse for the foreseeable future.
