How do you make a product better? Make it pink. Obviously. It Cosmetics got the memo, with their recently launched new formula of their bestselling CC + concealer. It's the It Cosmetics CC + Illumination; the formula we've come to know and love with some extra luminosity. It seems like an instant hit to me, but I've been comparing it to the OG - I am a diligent beauty investigator.
Your Skin But Better CC Cream
So, this might be one of the most hyped products around... It's the CC cream everyone raves about. Their base product category is really strong, and it's definitely changed the game when it comes to having a lighter texture but still getting all of the good coverage. I've been a fan of the original CC cream for a few years now, so the addition of one promising to be even glowier had me very excited. I would say that this is going to not be for those suffering with oily complexions but if you're looking to add some luminosity to your everyday base, then this is very exciting!
How is the formula different?
The biggest difference would be the brightness that the new concealer offers. It's still supremely thick and pigmented (more on that here) but this one does add a lot of brightness to the under eyes. I would recommend using a teeny tiny amount and then warming it between the fingers before blending it in. I mean anything promising to be illuminating is always fab if you have dark shadows.
The CC cream + illumination has a few differences - it has glow, without glitter or shimmer. I've seen a few pieces online claiming it's too disco-ball for them but I don't think it is at all... Granted, I am a big fan of glow but this is much more of a dewiness for the skin than a texture that's obvious. It's also a tiny bit lighter in coverage (leaning slightly towards undetectable glow rather than anything too sheer) and I would say it wore off on my nose a tiny bit faster.
