Sunscreen is in. I think this established, with daily use being touted as one of the best ways to protect your skin and to promote younger-looking skin. It's to be used on a daily basis (yup, even if the sun isn't shining because the pesky UV rays can come through clouds, too) underneath makeup. Finding one that fits seamlessly into your skin routine is the first battle; once you've found the one, remembering to put apply every morning becomes a far less arduous task. I've tried a lot of facial SPFs that have left my skin feeling congested, and ones that have stung my eyes... there are a lot of average ones out there. In the interest of making sure my face doesn't burn, I've tried lots and I've found The Best Facial SPFs around.
Zelens Daily Defence
Zelens is a serious skincare brand, so it only seems fitting that their daily defence sunscreen would be seriously good. Dr Lens is an expert in all things skin-ageing and sun-protection and his products are often formulated especially to be ideal for even the most sensitive of skins. Daily defence deflects UV rays and has been formulated with hyaluronic acid, making it nourishing to boot. The texture feels far more like a traditional moisturiser, and could easily be used on top of a serum alone.
La Roche Posay Anthelios
La Roche Posay have really got it figured out when it comes to having a wide range of SPFs for everyone. If the thought of something greasy on your fake makes you feel nervous, then the Anthelios range is the one to try. They have so many different formulations, with ones for blemish-prone and oily skins being especially light. The anti-shine dry touch gel-cream is the dreamiest of textures, and it sits beautifully under makeup. You won't even know it's there, promise.
Jurlique UV Defence Lotion
Post-skincare and pre-makeup, consider the Jurlique lotion as an extra layer of hydration for the skin. Not that it's especially heavy, but this one will be especially welcome on dry and dehydrated skin as it adds this lovely velvety layer of softness. It's also packed full of antioxidants so there's protection against daily pollutants for your skin, too. Jurlique is the nicest smelling of any SPF I've tried, with lavender and chamomile making it feel fresh, and much more like a treat for the skin than a chore.
