Coffee. It’s the best thing about the morning. I just can’t function in the morning without it, and I would consider myself quite the connoisseur. Actually, I love it so much that it’s spilt over into my beauty routine; I have a few Coffee Beauty Favourites. From the soap that helps wake you up to the perfect perfume for all caffeine addicts…
Freshly Cosmetics Firming Body Cream
OK so a product with coffee on the bottle itself has got to be good, right? Well it matches my photos, that’s for sure. The cream is rich in caffeine, which the brand claims eliminates cellulite. Going to have roll my eyes at that one, because cellulite is fat in the body and creams won’t change that. Anti-cellulite creams are massively profiting on women’s insecurities. BUT this cream is excellent if you take it as a firming lotion, to be used for smoother and more supple skin. It has a pump (hurray), smells nice and absorbs into the skin really nicely.
Crabtree & Evelyn Lavender & Espresso
Putting together the two ingredients that make you super sleepy and super awake might seem like a little counter intuitive but Crabtree & Evelyn has nailed it. Mixing in with some patchouli, the whole scent is incredibly luxurious and really comforting. The brand has said the scent can enhance your mood either way; I find it lovely used whenever as it’s such a decadent little treat for the sense. We have the hand soap in the bathroom, too, which is almost too fancy to be used daily. Dreamy.
Floral Street Ylang Ylang Espresso
Coffee in fragrance is a tricky one. It could go so wrong but luckily this one is so right. Featuring coffee, cream and pepper, it smells beautifully rich and warming on the skin. It’s been blended with red rose, ylang ylang and jasmine so it has a heady floral kick to it that stops it from being too gourmand or leaving you smelling like a Starbucks. I’d wear this, and it’s not too floral to be a unisex scent too. Perfect for early morning meetings when you want to feel put together. The whole brand is well worth investigating for some really interesting blends of fragrance.
