If there’s one thing that sets my beauty-loving heart racing, it’s makeup storage. It just gets me, and the organising of the stash is far too enjoyable. Having had a ruthless declutter a few months back now, I’m enjoying a more streamlined edit of my daily essentials. My Current Beauty Staples are all products I’ve definitely mentioned before, but they are definitely noteworthy. Plus, storing everything in an old Diptyque candle jar is both chic and eco-friendly…
The daily stash
So. These are the products I reach for pretty much every time I do my makeup. Things like primers and foundations change a lot more often (I’m a fickle blogger), but these have remained pretty constant. We have… Glossier cloud paint in Puff, Tilbury liquid highlighter, Clinique mascara, Laura Mercier concealer, Marc Jacobs shadow stick in volver, Too Faced shadow insurance, the Brow Gal pencil, Glossier boy brow and the Stila liquid liner. Outside of the little candle jar, we have some Jillian Dempsey products and a Stila glitter shadow because you know I am obsessed with those. I use everything here and I’m making myself operate a one in – one out policy so I actually use stuff up!
Good morning, skincare
Housed in the drawer underneath is my current morning skincare selection. Again, these are all products I’ve mentioned loads of time and I love them all. There’s the Lumene vitamin C serum (mentioned here) which I love for the morning. So fresh, hydrating and glowing. A combo of the Fresh rose moisturiser (here) and the Zelens daily defence (here) keeps skin hydrated and protected from the sun. Also in there… my trusty jade roller, the Clarins eye mask (which I’m using as an eye cream) and the Tropic lip fudge (here). All my other skincare lives in my bathroom cabinet, which also recently had a massive declutter (so let me know if you want a post on that).
