Nude lipsticks might not be the most exciting thing to look at, but I can guarantee they’ll be one of the most hardworking additions to your makeup bag. When in doubt, a slick of nude lipstick is pretty much guaranteed to make you look more pulled together and feel a bit brighter. Yup, I just wanted to share My Nude Lipstick Obsession.
Bite Beauty is one those brands that, annoyingly, you can’t get very easily in the UK. Especially now that Sephora isn’t shipping to us. Ah! Even more annoyingly is that this exact shade you can’t buy, because I made it at one of their very exciting bite beauty labs in New York. Yup, custom lipstick. I’ve started wearing this more and more, after saving it because I love it too much. It really is the perfect nude, for me. It’s very similar to Pillow Talk, with a tiny little bit more beige and the formula is nicer. If you can get your hands on Bite Beauty, I would highly highly recommend.
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk
This has to be one of my favourite lipsticks ever, as the shade just goes with everything. It always manages to make your makeup look good, and a lot more polished. I’m going to need to repurchase soon, which is a big deal for a fickle lipstick flirt like me. Pillow Talk liner is my go-to as well, for any shade but when used with the lipstick, it’s the dream. I’m sure every makeup lover has a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick or two in their collection…
New to my stash is this new launch from Jane Iredale (shown here in the shade Tania), a long-lasting, natural and comfortable formula. This is the perfect cool-toned pinky nude shade. There are fifteen brand new shades, varying across shades for every skin tone. Formula wise, it’s a very creamy and comfortable finish that still has some serious longevity. Jane Iredale is definitely a luxury brand, and the packaging is pleasingly weighty. The brand is also clean, leaving out a lot of harmful ingredients, being mostly vegan and making an effort to be environmentally conscious.
BYBI Lip Plumper
Not a lipstick, but I had to mention the BYBI lip plumper as it’s become my absolute go-to balm pre-makeup application. It really does make a difference to how plump lips look, thanks to the mint in the ingredients. A little tingly (without being painful!), it leaves lips smooth and prepped for any lipstick.
