Time for another instalment of… New Skincare In My Stash. Finding new skincare is something I would consider myself an expert in at this point – I just love hunting out new brands, formulations and products. Plus, the natural beauty kick I’ve been on this year shows no signs of slowing down so I need to share some new skincare gems.
Tropic Pure Lagoon
I’ve spoken about my love for Tropic skincare so many times on the blog, so I was very excited to find out about their latest launch. Pure Lagoon is a blemish prevention serum that promises to help beat spots without drying out the skin. I was lucky enough to go to dinner with Tropic and their founder Susie (interview with her here!) as she talked us through the inspiration behind the launch and the key ingredients. The serum itself is naturally blue (looking at you, Sunday Riley and your dyes) and smells like watermelon. It’s seriously impressive, and doesn’t leave skin dry or sore in the slightest. Great for any hormonal patches of acne that flare up once a month.
The Beauty Of Eczema
OK so obviously not skincare per se, but this book all about battling eczema is one of my recent reads. Written by Camille Knowles, it’s an absolute treasure trove for those who are looking to battle eczema naturally. I went for lunch and got to meet Camille, and Jade Jagger (working alongside on the campaign) and saw the difference that these techniques made to Camille’s skin. A great one to check out for those interested in natural skincare.
I’ve found a new natural skincare brand that is really worth shouting about; active ingredients, organic formulations and crystal-infused products all add up to a really exciting brand. It’s a brand that has really expertly fused together the wellness and beauty categories for a finished result that manages to feel pretty modern. Their cleansers are especially noteworthy with an oil and the dew facial wash being the perfect morning wash. I’m just really enjoying the crystal-infused element that doesn’t feel like a gimmick.
Gallinée Face Vinegar
I spoke about Gallinée’s approach to probiotic skincare in this post, and since then they have launched a new toner based on vinegar. Vinegar is pretty big in France and used for everything, and it’s definitely a growing trend (shots of apple cider vinegar, anyone?) so this is a toner/vinegar concoction to be used post-cleanse. It works by neutralising skin’s pH for optimum health, protecting the skin against pollutants and exfoliating through the use of gentle AHAs. It’s super fresh on the skin and can easily be used twice a day. Another hit from Gallinée!
Finally, we have another natural brand that just perfectly epitomises Scandinavian chic. The name, ecooking, references the production process and the fact that the majority of the formulas contain food-safe ingredients. It’s also a brand that manages to nicely cater for both genders – not that male skin needs ‘male’ packaging but this does seem far more neutral and a good one to share. The brand has recently launched onto Cult Beauty, and I can see it doing so well with the skincare obsessed amongst us.
