Continuing with my Odyssey into all things natural beauty, I’ve upgraded my makeup bag with some gorgeous new additions for spring. This whole year I’ve found that my routine has been a lot more pared-back than it used to be – I work primarily from home, so skincare is my priority and then when I do put on makeup, I want it to be quick, easy & good! Glowing skin, long lashes and cream blushers is on the agenda…

RMS Living Luminizer Powder in Grand Dame – link
The RMS Living Luminizer is definitely a cult product and I would agree that it’s quite a magical little cream. So when I was browsing Love Lula and saw that it now comes in a powder form, too, I had to try. I do love a highlighter… I am in love with this. It’s pretty blinding, creamy to apply and a tiny bit of powder goes a long way. Dusted on top of the cheekbones, it immediately brightens the complexion and adds such a lot of luminosity.

Whilst ordering the above highlighter, I definitely couldn’t resist adding one of the colour pots into my bag. I mean, cream blush is perfect for spring and this shade just looked gorgeous. This is a super creamy and pigmented pot (made with carrots!) that manages to work really well on both the lips and cheeks. I find that multi-purpose products often don’t actually work as well on both, but happily this one does. Wearing it on both lips & cheeks in the below photo.

Lily Lilo Big Lash Mascara
I’d been wanting to try a natural mascara for a while, as I wanted to look into options containing kinder ingredients considering mascara goes right by your eye. I didn’t want to compromise on the effectiveness as I like mascara that looks dramatic, is super black and holds a curl. Basically a very demanding customer. So I did loads of research on different options and this one from Lily Lilo kept cropping up; the 100% natural mineral-makeup brand formulates mascaras without any unnecessary chemicals. I’ve been trying it for a month so far, and I am impressed… the wand reminds me of the Too Faced better than sex mascara, although the formula is far less clumpy. It does give a good amount of drama to the lashes, and it’s really buildable – in the picture below I’m wearing two coats. Bonus points: it doesn’t irritate eyes at all and it’s really easy to remove at the end of the day.

RMS Eye Polish in Solar & Wild With Desire Lipstick in Vogue Rose
More RMS, because it’s one of my favourite brands of the moment! The eye polish is one of the best I’ve tried in terms of staying power – it reminds me a lot of the mac paint pots but with extra skin-loving ingredients. Perfect for a five minute makeup look for spring & summer, I think. Then the lipstick is a super creamy rose toned coral that is incredibly brightening and summery once on. Creamy and long-lasting, it’s one of the best natural lipsticks I’ve come across.
