Who Are Odylique?
Founded by Margaret Weeds, aromatherapist and skincare expert, Odylique is an English (Suffolk-based) natural skincare brand that makes an entire plethora of products. The entire line is focussed on creating high-performance, antioxidant-rich & biodynamic products with skin-nurturing ingredients and sustainable formulas. A lot of Odylique’s products are organic, vegan and natural. The three most enticing criteria for skincare to me. As it’s World Vegan Month, I wanted to shine light onto the brand, their lovely products and amazing ethics.

The entire line of skincare from Odylique is pretty all-encompassing in that there are products that cater for every skin type and concern, using gentle formulas. The Silk-Touch cleanser is a particular favourite – a silky soft cleansing gel that works beautifully as a second cleanse to brighten and treat the skin.

I’ve recently been trying out two Odylique products in my shower – the Tea Tree & Herb Shampoo and the Lemongrass Body Wash. Both instant hits, really. The shampoo instantly makes the hair and scalp feel really clean without being stripped, and it leaves the hair feeling swishy and bouncy afterwards. A hit with Chris, too. The Lemongrass body wash is perfect for early morning wake-up calls (especially when you’ve had a night of broken sleep…), with a lemon sherbet zingy scent. Delicious.

Since having a baby, I’ve been even more conscious of the things we put on our skin. If it’s not something I would use then it’s not going anywhere near her… Happily, Odylique has a big range of baby products including baby shampoo and wash, nappy creams and lotions. All organic, natural and super gentle… and Penelope approved.

Odylique makeup was new to me – I had previously only tried the skincare, but I am always always up for trying new makeup. Their eyeshadows have been a complete surprise! Packaged like MAC shadow pans, they’re plastic-free and come in cardboard sleeves. I’ve been trying the shades Gold & Bark, and they both perform really nicely – I would recommend a primer to boost the longevity. The mineral formulation is incredibly gentle on the eyes and there’s no carmine or silk powder, making them entirely vegan.
